We at DUNN’S Headquarters would like to thank you both for your important contributions to our building project. You successfully shored our waterfront three-story building while a piling contractor installed 118 new auger piles. The foundation work was undertaken to enable the addition of a fourth floor to our building.
During the planning and through the installation of the piles, you were instrumental in many ways. First, your experience gave us the confidence to undertake the project. Second, you and your engineers created a feasible shoring plan. Third, you performed the necessary demolition to the existing foundations prior to the placement of the auger piles. Fourth, you helped with the coordination of all trades involved in the foundation work.
Most remarkably, your vast experience and creative thinking permitted us and our tenants to occupy the building during the shoring and foundation work. We greatly appreciate your professionalism and are pleased to recommend your services.

In December 2009, Brownie Structural Movers and Foundation Repair performed the job of moving a 2,500 square foot boathouse from the beach at Honeymoon Island State Park to a location 300 yards inland. Once at that location, they raised the building to an elevation of 16 feet and placed the building on new pilings.
The job was performed on schedule and completed satisfactorily. Kim Brownie, the company owner was on-hand during every phase of the operation and provided hands on supervision throughout the entire job. This ensured that the entire job was performed correctly.
This is the second building that Brownie Structural Movers and Foundation Repair has moved at Honeymoon Island State Park, and we would welcome the company to bid on any future projects.

Our house was one of the first two houses Brownie Structural Movers and Foundation Repair elevated in St. Lucie Settlement. Since we only spend the winter in Stuart the timing was perfect. Elevation began after we left in April 2007. We were happy to be one of the first.
Well, the weather did not cooperate. After months of monsoons, Mr. Brownie and his three sons; Jeremy, Jameson and Jed elevated the existing foundation and poured another underneath. We now have no worries about flooding and a wonderful crawl space with easy access. We only removed garage items. Nothing was moved from the house. We had taken plates off the wall, but it was not necessary.
We returned in January 2008 to an elevated house. Everything was intact with no structural problems or cracks. Between April and January Jeremy kept us informed. He regularly emailed pictures and updates.
We have many reasons we would recommend Brownie Structural Movers and Foundation Repair. A few are:
- They handled all the details; from plumbers and electricians to tile layers and permits. They even handled all communication with Martin County, for the FEMA grant money
- We had one contact person for all questions

Brownie Structural Movers and Foundation Repair recently finished elevating my home in St. Lucie Settlement and I love it. Start to finish was a record 3½ months. Having lived through two floods I was not excited about moving out. This was definitely the least painful. I left the house with a suitcase and a few kitchen items. I returned to a wonderful new view, many improvements and no fear of flooding.

Our home was flooded for the second time in three years in August 2008. After finding out the National Flood Insurance Program would help pay to raise the house above flood level, we began looking for a company that would raise our house off the foundation, allowing us to build a new stem wall foundation under it. After doing some research, we called Brownie Structural Movers and Foundation Repair. Mr. Kim Brownie came to our house and talked to us about the project. We decided to use their services.
Mr. Brownie's three sons showed up on February 23, 2009 to begin the process. They had the house ready to lift in just over two days. The lift itself took less than three hours. They were quick and efficient and worked well together. They made it look easy. Five and a half weeks later we were ready for the house to be set down on its new foundation. They were at
the house by 9:00 am and had the house down before 10:30 am. They were packed up and ready to head home by 4:30 that afternoon. Once again, quick and efficient. We were impressed with the process and how well they worked together.
We would highly recommend Brownie Structural Movers and Foundation Repair to anyone looking to undertake a lift or move of this type. They definitely are one of the best in the industry, and we wouldn't hesitate to use their services again.

This is a belated thank you from the Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans for the outstanding work you and your crew performed in association with last summer's move of the Albertson's houses.
It is not any easy task to move even one large, two story historic house. The fact that you and your associates were able to move seven such structures in a few days time is truly miraculous!
When this project was first proposed, few had confidence that it would be able to come to fruition. But your professionalism and hard work helped assure the New Orleans preservation community that what seemed to us to be a risky venture was really just a routine job for Kim Brownie.
